G&T | Staff Favourites

14th Jun 2019

There’s no better way to start the weekend, than with a G&T in hand!

Do you love a gin and tonic? So do we! We also love to support local businesses at Careys Manor, which is why we stock a great selection of local gin brands including Pothecary, Twisted Nose and Dancing Cows. With the weekend on the horizon, we have asked staff members at Careys Manor to tell us which is their favourite gin and tonic to toast to the weekend with...

Gemma Gilbert, Marketing Director

Gemma’s favourite gin is Conker Dorset Dry Gin with Fever Tree Classic Indian Tonic. This is perfect when served with a twist of lime peel, allowing the oils in the rind to delicately flavour your drink, if you'd like to make one at home!

“This is a lovely simple G&T that reminds me of summers spent in Dorset! It tastes as good as it smells and is wonderfully refreshing.”

Lina Lotto, Spa Director

Lina enjoys Dancing Cows New Forest Oak Aged Gin with fever tree lemon tonic. If you’d like to make it yourself, garnish with a slice of lemon.

“I really enjoy this gin as it's a little different. It’s smooth but refreshing and you are just able to taste the vanilla and sherry flavours, as well as fruity notes. It’s the perfect drink to enjoy whilst watching the sun go down”.

Steve Woodrow, General Manager

Steve’s G&T of choice is Twisted Nose Watercress Dry Gin, from Winchester and Fever Tree Classic Indian Tonic with a wedge of lemon.

“This is the perfect gin and tonic combination. It’s clean and crisp with a peppery bite. Knowing that it is made locally somehow makes it taste even better!”.
