We believe there are few better vantage points for enjoying views of the New Forest than from the comfort of a bicycle seat. Cycling is liberating, fun and a must during your visit to the forest and what makes your cycling adventure even better is what you’ll return to after a long day of exploration.

Cycling in the New Forest, Rhinefield

Brockenhurst to Rhinefield | 11 miles | Easy/Medium | Some road access

This is perfect for those of you who wish to venture out into the forest, yet not too far from the hotel. Start your journey from the hotel (based in Brockenhurst) and pedal through some of the best sights of the forest. Rhinefield is famous for its majestic Douglas Firs and redwood trees so make sure you take your camera to capture the enchanting scenery.

Cycling in the New Forest, Lyndhurst

Brockenhurst to Lyndhurst | 6.5 miles | Medium | Some hills | Gravel tracks

Often regarded as the capital of the New Forest, Lyndhurst provides a route through from the forest to Southampton and the M27 however more importantly; it is home to an impressive Ferrari and Maserati garage, The National Park Tourism Centre and plenty of restaurants to satisfy your appetite after your journey.

This particular route will take you into the heart of the forest providing plenty of opportunity to see the ponies, deer and if you’re lucky, pigs!

Cycling in the New Forest, Burley

Brockenhurst to Burley | 7 miles | Medium | Some hills | Some road access

Burley is home to plenty of character. After a long ride into the centre of the village it’s time to reward your hard work with a visit to the Burley Fudge shop – treat yourself, you’re on holiday! Take a look around the various shops within the village and admire the traffic of ponies that wander through at their leisure.
