HR Administrator

Type – Full time (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday

Reports to – Group HR Director

Location – Careys Manor Hotel. Located in the beautiful village of Brockenhurst, nestled between the New Forest National Park and the Solent. With 75 plush bedrooms and suites, the award-winning SenSpa and 3 onsite restaurants, we pride ourselves on our friendly staff and attentive service. Situated 5 minutes’ walk from Brockenhurst Village and train station with excellent rail links to Bournemouth, Southampton and London.

Our HR team is about to grow and we are excited to see who will join us as HR Administrator.  If you are a super-organised, enthusiastic person with great administrative skills, who would like to develop your career in human resources, then we would love to hear from you.

You will be working in a small HR department supporting people across two hotels in the New Forest; Careys Manor Hotel & SenSpa in Brockenhurst (where the HR office is located) and the Montagu Arms in Beaulieu.

Your responsibilities will span the full spectrum of HR activity.  A key focus is supporting the recruitment and onboarding of new team members and maintaining records using our HR system; Fourth Hospitality.  You will also liaise with managers and be involved with preparing data for payroll, administering reward and recognition schemes and supporting new initiatives as we continue to evolve.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Prior administrative experience in a fast-paced office environment, prior HR experience desirable
  • An understanding of employment legislation basics
  • Competent PC/Microsoft Office user – Word, Outlook, Excel
  • High levels of accuracy with great attention to detail
  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, combined with a solid ethical code
  • A desire to make continuous improvements
