Katie and Martin tied the knot at Careys Manor Hotel on 21st July 2018.
Martin proposed on Christmas day. It was our first Christmas together and we had a pyjama day, just the 2 of us.
We fell in love with Careys as soon as we walked up the driveway. Everything about Careys felt magical, but also homely. And Francoise was just so attentive. We saw a few other places, but none of them even came close to Careys.
My dress was a blush colour with a lace overlay. It then had another lace layer which made a train. My fantastic seamstress made the top layer detachable, so it was like having two dresses in one. I felt like a princess all day.
The groom and groomsmen wore grey suits with royal blue cravats and a silvery swirl waistcoat. They all looked so smart and matched the bridesmaids so well. There Pirelli tyre button holes created by the amazing Owen at Little Lillies were a fantastic touch!
I had two bridesmaids, Lotte and Tara and they wore full length royal blue dresses which had a lacey top part. They looked beautiful. I also had a flower girl called Olivia, who wore a lovely white dress with a royal blue ribbon to tie everything together.
We chose to have our ceremony in the walled Garden, we both really wanted to get married outside, and when it was such a beautiful day, it was the best decision as it was so beautiful. The ceremony was perfect and we managed to say our own vows without too many tears!
We had our reception in the cedar suite, which was so perfect. I had a vision in mind of how it would look, and Careys could see my vision! It was light and airy during the reception and we used the Cedar Garden for our BBQ and in the evening for people to sit outside. We had a singer during the reception who was brilliant.
We had white roses and mini white gerberas with some small blue delfiniums. We had flower centre pieces with Formula one track names as our table names
It was perfect. Everything went well, the weather was amazing and all of the staff at Careys were so attentive to everything. Francoise was there on the day too which was so lovely as she shared the whole journey with us. The smiles on everyones faces, guests and staff. Everyone was so happy and it just made the day so special. It really was THE BEST DAY EVER.
