Hannah and Sam tied the knot at Careys Manor on 1st June 2019. Hear about how their day went...
Sam proposed at the top of the big wheel in Winter Wonderland, Hyde Park.
Why did you choose Careys Manor Hotel for your wedding?
We'd driven past it one day and couldn't believe how beautiful it was! We said we'd love to get married there one day and I had the web page open on my phone for well over a year. We didn't even look at any other venues.
Day dress and cape were from Web2B, they were gorgeous but not comfortable so I also got an evening dress from Curves and Couture. This was filmed for the popular TLC TV show Curvy Brides Boutique on which I will be featured soon!
The Groom's Outfit
Sam has always dreamt of a powder blue suit and when he saw he couldn't contain his excitement!
In an untraditional twist my Maid of Honour was my best friend Tom, looking very sharp in his suit and a pink tie. His other half and my other best friend Ellie looked absolutely stunning in her pink dress also from Wed2B.
The ceremony was perfect. Very intimate in the beautiful walled garden. I couldn't believe how beautiful it looked as I was walking up to Sam. A friend of ours sat on the steps and played an acoustic version of Isn't She Lovely on guitar. The ceremony itself was relatively short, we knew everyone would be keen to explore the gorgeous grounds and get their hands on some delicious canapés.
Our reception was held in the beautiful Cedar Suite. Owen from Little Lillies had created the most beautiful centre pieces and mood was set perfectly by Toby the resident DJ. As the evening went on the BBQ food was more than welcome and our guests were making excellent use of the private bar. Everyone was delighted with the delicious food and the wine flowed nicely. Best party we've ever seen.
Owen did a FANTASTIC job with all the flowers. My bouquet was a total show stopper, the centre pieces were stunning and the thank you flowers for my parents brought my Mum to tears. He had also supplied gorgeous little sprigs of rosemary to sit next to our wooden place names which was both so in keeping with our rustic theme and smelt incredible!
Tell us about the décor you chose
We opted for a very rustic and relaxed theme. The hessian chair sashes set this off perfectly and the log slice for our cake to sit on was an amazing touch.
How do you feel the day went?
The day was run to perfection. The staff were on hand if we needed them but also weren't overbearing or in the way at all. Everyone seemed so relaxed and it was evident to everyone that staff were totally in control of everything. There were no blips.
The weather was glorious for us and we really managed to make the most of the beautiful grounds. Everyone had the best time and said it was simply the best wedding they'd ever been to. So much laughter, many hugs and lots of happy tears! Simply couldn't have asked for a better day.
Any particular memories that you would like to share?
The whole day is a special memory to us. But if I had to choose it would be when we were announced as the new Mr and Mrs and walking out the front of the Manor to all our friends and family cheering. So much love.
