Top Reasons to Choose a Hotel for Your New Forest Getaway
When it comes to short breaks or weekend getaways in the New Forest there’s plenty of accommodation choices but the real question is, what do you want from your time away? Ultimate relaxation, space, amenities or just the option of a restaurant when you’re feeling like a break from cooking?
Short breaks in the New Forest are made for hotel stays
When all you want is a last-minute escape or a fuss-free breather, a hotel break allows you to step away from the everyday for just a moment and focus on you.
It frees you up to do exactly what you want to do, without the need to food-shop, research, cook, organise… You can spend your precious couple of days off cycling around the National Park or being totally horizontal with a good book beside the pool – the choice is yours!
A hotel stay means you don’t need to think too much, just pack some clothes and go, knowing that everything you need will be there.
One thing you can guarantee about a hotel is, we’re used to hosting all kinds of breaks and we’ve probably had all the requests so there are plenty of amenities and comforts designed to make your stay all the more enjoyable. From a friendly, reliable and customer-centred reception on hand 24/7, housekeeping services and room service, to facilities like hotel restaurants, spa, swimming pool and gym, not to mention a delicious breakfast included… (Yet another thing you don’t have to think about.)
Hotel stays give you more time for the fun stuff and make the everyday things more exciting.
There’s nothing like a day exploring the New Forest National Park and then returning to your hotel room to freshen up and get ready for dinner. With menus of delicious food to look forward to in every one of our hotel restaurants, wine lists certainly worth perusing and a whole evening ahead of you to sit and enjoy, with no washing up in sight. All you have to do is plan what to do tomorrow and float upstairs to bed.
Thai, British or French dining options are just a few steps away from your room
If for you a hotel break is all about relaxation and the next meal, we have three delightfully different hotel restaurants to suit any tastes. Choose between aromatic and authentic Thai at the Zen Garden, the flavours of France at Le Blaireau, or modern-British dining at Cambium. Not to mention our lighter options available in the hotel lounge, or Afternoon Tea for those looking for some extra indulgence during their break.
The hotel is your base, the kind of break you have is up to you…
A hotel stay in the New Forest can be an adventure weekend, a spa break or a digital detox. It can be the escape to nature you’ve been craving, the romantic getaway you both need or the time away with friends you’ve been talking about for too long!
A hotel stay allows you to do it all… Walk through the forest and snap photos of our New Forest ponies in the morning, book a massage at SenSpa and hit the gym in the afternoon and reserve a table for two at Cambium for date night dinner.
Whatever kind of break you need; you can find it at our country hotel.
What about a hotel with self-catering accommodation?
We certainly understand the love of self-catering breaks, they’re a great option for longer stays, bigger groups or large families. They offer fantastic privacy, and more space so you can truly make it your own and not worry about going out if you don’t want to.
If you’re a larger group or looking specifically for self-catering accommodation in the New Forest, let us introduce you to the hybrid option.
At our Hampshire hotel, we have the lovely Pittefaux Cottage – a secluded self-catering cottage with private gardens, and access to our spa hotel and facilities just a stone’s throw away if and when you need them – the best of both worlds.
The cottage has 3 bedrooms and sleeps up to 7 guests, is dog-friendly and offers garden views. But when it’s time to sit back and relax, you and your guests are welcome to use the hotel pool facilities or enjoy our hotel restaurants.
If you’re dreaming of a stress-free break away in the New Forest, you can’t go wrong with a hotel stay. Amenities and facilities should you want them, a space that is your home from home in the heart of our National Park and time saved so you can spend longer doing the things you love.
