1. Archery

If we can tempt you into a challenge, why not try your hand at archery? Although considered an ancient art, there’s still fun to be had with a bow and arrow away from the battlefield and hunting grounds this activity was born from. New Forest Activities provide safe, modern equipment, suitable for all shapes and sizes and, once you’re ready to take aim, their Archery site is tucked away in the heart of beautiful New Forest surroundings.

Those who have shot before can make the most of extra shooting time by booking the Big Shot Archery session.

2. BattleZone laser tag

You’ll need quick reflexes and a steady hand to take on this activity, but be prepared to have a blast along the way! A fun experience for a group of family or friends, New Forest Activities’ BattleZone Laser Tag is not laser tag as you know it – spectacular sound effects, instant hit feedback and wireless, lightweight technology take laser tag to the next level.

Let your inner child run wild at one of New Forest Activities’ BattleZone Adult Sessions. Suitable from 16+ years, this action-packed immersive experience is ideal for adult groups looking to let the laser do the talking for the thrill of it.

3. Bushcraft

For those eager to learn some new skills, Bushcraft will open the door to a wonderous world of crafting using nature as your resource. You will also learn how to survive in the wilderness through a range of hands-on activities, from building a shelter to starting a fire. It’s a great way to connect with nature.

How well do your team work together? Bushcraft can be a great all-round team building experience, pushing everyone to pull their resources, use each other’s strengths and communicate clearly to survive the session.

4. Canoeing

If you prefer to be on the water, meandering down the Beaulieu River in a Canadian canoe might be the activity to tick off your list. New Forest Activities’ expert guides will tailor your experience to the perfect level for you or your group – taking you up or down stream, drifting on tidal currents or exploring hidden creeks. It’s a peaceful and serene way to connect with nature and give your arms a little workout along the way!

Travelling with a pooch? Dogs are welcome on all canoeing sessions, and we can accommodate dogs at Careys Manor too with advance booking! Just let our Reservations team know.

5. Kayaking

Paddle your way through the New Forest waterway’s natural beauty in a small and stable kayak, powered using a double bladed paddle. New Forest Activities pride themselves on providing a range of experiences, from 90-minute taster sessions to 2-hour adventure and tour packages, enjoy the river’s calm waters at your own pace.

Visiting over the summer? You won’t want to miss the Sunset Chasers Paddling Tour. Follow the warm glow of the last rays of the day along the river, from the comfort of your own kayak. You’ll need your camera to capture the wildlife coming to life as the sun goes down; but remember, Mother Nature needs no filter.
