There’s nothing quite like the magic of Christmas at Careys Manor Hotel, making it the perfect setting for a festive wreath making workshop this year. Whether you’re a seasoned wreath maker, or are trying something new – the scent of pine and cinnamon, the soft rustle of foliage, the joy of shaping something with your own hands; it’s a tradition that will stay with you long after this session.
Guided by expert florist Laura, you’ll be shown how to layer fragrant foliage, berries, ribbons and dried fruits into your very own handmade wreath. More than just a workshop, this is a chance to slow down, savour the start of the festive season, and create something filled with cheer to take home and treasure.
The experience will be offered in two groups. The morning group will begin with freshly brewed tea or coffee and a wholesome snack, before rolling up your sleeves to begin a candle wreath arrangement workshop. After a morning of creativity, sit back and enjoy a two-course seasonal lunch in Cambium.
The afternoon group will arrive to a welcome drink before diving into a joyful hands-on wreath making workshop. Toast your creativity with a glass of Prosecco as you admire your finished piece. Then, gather around for a generous cheese board selection to finish your festive afternoon.
Your session will be led by Laura Wagner, resident florist at Careys Manor Hotel
Laura is the owner and florist behind Blooming Marvellous Creations, whom we have had the pleasure of working with on many weddings and special events at Careys Manor. A professionally trained florist with a love of nature and the great outdoors, Laura teaches creative floristry workshops throughout the year as well as creating bespoke bouquets and arrangements for weddings and events.
Event timings:
Morning session 10am – 2pm
- Hot drink & refreshment on arrival

Afternoon session 2.30pm – 5pm
- A glass of Prosecco
- Wreath making workshop
- Cheese board, mince pie, glass of mulled wine
