Spa Therapist – SenSpa
Type – 1 x Permanent full-time (37.5 hours per week, worked on a rolling rota basis 5 days out of 7) AND 1 x Maternity Cover Contract full-time (up to 12 months)

Location – SenSpa is an award-winning Thai-inspired spa located at Careys Manor Hotel in the beautiful village of Brockenhurst. This is an excellent opportunity to work at a multi award winning luxury spa, and would suit someone looking to build on their expertise and skills to further develop their career. The role involves carrying out massage and delivering facial treatments to guests to an extremely high standard, as well as advising and assisting guests when appropriate.
Two positions are available: 1 x full-time permanent contract and 1 x full-time maternity cover contract (up to 12 months).
Main responsibilities:
- Provide consistent specialist massage, face and body treatments as trained by SenSpa within the allotted time.
- Assess guests’ soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength, and range of motion.
- Develop effective treatment plans for regular guests.
- Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology and contraindications so that guests’ health conditions are identified and dealt with sensitively and appropriately and treatments are carried out safely.
- Respond to guests’ questions and concerns professionally and politely, addressing any concerns regarding appropriateness of treatment.
- Have a complete knowledge and understanding of all the services and products offered by SenSpa, actively promoting the spa, treatments, services and retail.
- Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilisation as stated in the spa policy and procedures, in line with Health & Safety directives.
- Possess the ability to work without direct supervision, maintain a positive outlook and contribute towards a quality work environment for the team.
Our ideal candidate will:
- be able to demonstrate their training and expertise in spa massage treatments to an extremely high standard in a calm and professional manner.
- have a thorough knowledge of treatments, benefits and ingredients, and their effect on the body
- have attained a minimum British Level 3 qualification or European equivalent in therapy
- have Thai massage experience
- have experience working at a similar establishment i.e. a hotel spa or destination spa
- have worked in a large team of therapists, meaning they are able to work proactively and be a team player
- be able to demonstrate a good level of English
