Situated within Careys Manor Hotel & SenSpa, you will find the elegant Zen Garden Thai Restaurant.  Serving authentic Thai cuisine, the traditional Thai decor creates a tranquil and relaxed dining atmosphere where guests can experience genuine Thai hospitality. The imaginative menus created by our Thai Chefs offer a fresh infusion of exotic flavours that create exquisite cuisine. We are now seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager.

The Assistant Restaurant Manager will assist with the day to day running of this busy restaurant, and a small team of approximately 10 staff.  A confident person with excellent spoken English and leadership skills is required for this full time position.  Responsibilities include:

  • Ordering stock
  • Rota planning
  • Managing customer relations & bookings
  • Liaising with the kitchen and chefs
  • Health & safety and food hygiene
  • Maintaining quality standards
  • Training new staff

Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record demonstrating supervisory experience within a hotel/restaurant environment.  We are seeking a committed team leader with a passion to succeed, but who appreciates the importance of projecting a calm manner in keeping with the Spa environment.  An interest in ethnic food, knowledge of wine, and awareness of health, wellbeing and Thai culture are all desirable attributes.  Computer literacy and administrative awareness are also required.

This role is offered on a shift basis working 5 days per week.  The hotel is situated 5 minutes’ walk from Brockenhurst Village and train station with excellent rail links to Bournemouth, Southampton and London.
