Amy and Sebsatian tied the knot at Careys Manor on 2nd June. Hear about how their day went...
Seb took Amy for a walk in her favourite place, the New Forest. It was a lovely hot July weekend, one week after the birth of their daughter, Alice. Seb and Amy stopped for a picnic at Whitefield Moor and down by the river Seb got down on one knee and asked Amy to be his wife.
A New Forest location was the most important thing for us. We viewed Careys Manor first and instantly fell in love with the hotel and all it had to offer. We viewed a few other venues, however we always knew that we would tie the knot at Careys Manor Hotel.
Amy wore a full length A-line dress with an embellished belt in antique white. She completed the outfit with a cathedral length veil, diamond necklace, sliver bracelet and earrings. Amy wore ivory shoes with a sliver glitter heel.
Seb wore a mid-grey suit with sliver waistcoat. He completed the outfit with a gold personalised tie clip, a gift from his father and sliver cufflinks, a gift from Amy. He wore black shoes and personalised socks.
Amy and Sebastian has three bridesmaids, two flower girls and two page boys. Our bridesmaids, Jessica (Groom's sister), Emma (Brides sister) and Alice (Brides Friend) wore mint green full length dresses with a lace top. They completed their outfits with a personalised bracelet, a gift from the bride and sliver glitter heels which matched the brides. The flower girls wore a mid length dress with a white lace top and a mint green skirt. They completed their outfits with a sparkle hair slide and light pink shoes with a sliver sparkle heel. The page boys wore a mid grey suit, which matched the groom and the groomsman. They completed their outfits with a mint green bow tie and black brogues.
The ceremony was held in the walled garden. Amy walked down the aisle to ‘The Power of Love – Jennifer Rush’ which is a song very important to herself and her family. George, one of the groomsman, read ‘The art of marriage’ and Seb and Amy choose their own vows to read. Whilst signing the register, ‘Sleepwalk – The Shires’, ‘Chasing Cars – Coldplay’ ‘Perfect – Ed Sheeran’ & ‘All Of Me – John Legend’ Played. Once the ceremony was complete, we left walking out to ‘The Best Day Of My Life – American Authors’.
We had our wedding breakfast in the manor suite. We were joined by a magician, Dominic Reyes, who entertained our guests during the drinks reception and between courses. On the tables we had personalised bubbles and our wedding favours were personalised M&Ms which had a picture of the bride and groom along with the wedding date.
For the table flowers we had hanging amaranths, sweet avalanche rosa, two tone green & pink hydrangea, lily and eucalyptus. The brides and bridesmaid bouquets were done by Jill at Distinctly flowers along with the flower girls bags. For the button holes, we choose pink roses, spray roses, lisianthus, freesia which were tied with ivory satin ribbon and crystal pins . The button holes were tied with rope twine with a crystal pin.
We choose to have mint green chair ties.
The day was perfect and completely seamless, could not have asked for a more stress free day.
We used the DJ Toby, who knew how to create the perfect wedding party. We asked for ‘traditional’ wedding party songs and Toby chose to end the night with ‘Bohemian Rhapsody – Queen’. This could not have been more perfect, the entire wedding party were singing along and are still talking about how great the ending of the night was.
