If you are planning on going for a walk through the Forest during your stay, it is advised that you take the following points into consideration:
- If the weather has been bad, it would be best to make sure you have wellies with you as the Forest can get very muddy in parts.
- A compass should be taken with you in order to help you ensure you are going in the right direction.
- An Ordnance Survey map of the area is essential.
In the interest of keeping our environment as damage free as possible, we ask that if you are going to go walking in the surrounding area, to please observe the Countryside Code. This details basic guidelines as to how to treat your surroundings when walking.
