The British Marine Federation is the trade association for the leisure, super yacht and small commercial marine industry, with a 1500+ membership base.

In the other hand:

Careys Manor, a four star hotel in the heart of the New Forest with award winning conferencing facilities and an emphasis on outstanding customer service.

The Event:

The British Marine Federation required a venue that was substantial enough to be running two events at the same time, as well as having specific needs for dining:

Executive Assistant, Claire Westbrook said, ‘we needed a venue that would give us enough space to run two events alongside each other, i.e. the Supply Chain Conference seminar programme and the Meet the Buyer meetings, together with the overnight accommodation and space to hold a private evening dinner.  We also wanted to feel confident that the people at the venue that we would be working with were reliable and we would get a high level of customer service. The location was also important; we needed somewhere on the South Coast with good transport links for our members to get to from all over the UK’

In terms of transport links, Careys Manor is situated in an ideal location. Brockenhurst train station is just a 5 minute walk from the hotel and the M27 is a mere 15 minute drive away. Additionally, located in the heart of the New Forest, Careys Manor is within close proximity to major towns and cities such as Bournemouth, Southampton and Winchester.   

 Particular requirements of British Marine:

  • 80 delegates
  • Conversion of lounge area into a ‘Meet the Buyer’ style setup
  • Formal dinner and casino tables
  • Conference running at the same time as ‘Meet the Buyer’ meeting
